Mandya diocese gets new administrator
He has been serving as the vicar general of the diocese since 2012.

Fr. George Alukka was appointed to the post as suggested by the permanent synod of the Church.
He has been serving as the vicar general of the diocese since 2012.
Fr. Alukka was given the new assignment as Bishop Mar George Njaralakkattu, the previous bishop of Mandya, was appointed the Archbishop of Thalassery.
Administration of the Diocese of Mandya will be vested with him till a new bishop is appointed by the Church.
Fr George Alukka was born in the parish of N R Pura under the Bhadravathi diocese on April 26, 1996. After completing school education, he joined minor seminary under the Mananthavadi diocese.
He studied philosophy and theology at Dharmaram Vidyakshetram, Bengaluru.
He was ordained priest for the Diocese of Mananthavady in 1992. He has secured licentiate in Spiritual Theology from the Angelicum University, Rome.
He had served at Nadavayal, Pazhoor, Vadakkanad, Padamala, Bavali, Dwaraka, Kenichuira, Padichira and Cherukatoor under the Mananthavadi diocese.
