The 130 children, in the age group of 9 to 14 years, belonged to unorganized working class communities living in slums.

The session, which was conducted on the topic- Climate Change Affects Our Lives- linked the environmental issues to global warming and climate change.

The session highlighted the lack of basic infrastructure facilities in slums including drinking water, poor drainage system and plastic use.

The children also took note of the environmental issues and resolved that all the water bodies must be protected at any cost to improve the ground water and carrying out a plantation drive on a large scale.

The Parliament concluded that above measures will help the farmers with sufficient ground water for irrigation.

The Parliament emphasized that the above measures will also help realize the proposed smart city status of Hyderabad, besides reducing Global warming and minimizing the effects of climate change.
