Church leaders sensitised on HIV/AIDS

During the programme, Dr. Vinito L Chishi, LFA state consultant, gave a presentation on HIV/AIDS scenario in Nagaland and shared concern on increasing number of HIV infection in the state.
He also made a presentation on the roles and responsibility of the church on HIV/AIDS and encouraged the students, who are preparing to enter Christian ministry, to make use of their leadership opportunity by taking positive initiatives in addressing the issues related to HIV/AIDS with regard to reducing stigma, discrimination and prevention aiming towards creating an AIDS free generation in the days to come.
Ms Hukatoli from LFA shared about risk factor and social concern and responsibility with particular emphasis on its consequences, challenges and importance of responsible living.
The LFA support staff at Cradle Ridge, Kohima, also shared about her experiences with HIV positive children.
Altogether, 132 church leaders and theological students attended the programme. The advocacy meeting was chaired by Inakhu Chishi, SBAK youth secretary.
