Archbishop Moras honored

The Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC) in Al Sadd in Doha honored the prelate.

 

Doha:  Archbishop Bernard Moras of Bangalore has been honored for his exemplary service to the catholic community of India.

The Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC) in Al Sadd in Doha honored the prelate on May 18.

The venue at the Merwab Hotel at Al Sadd was jam-packed with MCC members and well-wishers, who gathered in multitude to thank the archbishop and show their appreciation and gratitude.

Founder member of the club Jerald D’Mello presented the shawl to the prelate and club president Sunil D’Silva presented a memento plaque.

In his address, Archbishop Moras thanked the gathering and invited them to lead a life of peace, love and harmony.

He also appreciated the good work of MCC not only in promoting these values, but also in bringing the community together and keeping alive their native culture and language in a distant land.

The prelate also spoke about the problems of the youth in Bangalore and what the Church is doing in comforting the youth in their distress.
